Educational resources available

The growing demand for education and regulatory compliance in the insurance industry has accentuated the necessity for the availability of quality knowledge material to satisfy this critical need.

The IISA’s extensive library and bank of material, developed and constantly updated over many years, presents an offering of intellectual property, some in unit standard format, other SAQA recognised, in cognisance of market preference and demand.

Whilst a significant portion of the material, covering approximately four hundred unit standards, focuses on short-term insurance subject matter, topical and associated issues such as wealth management, tax matters, the FAIS Act and intermediary relations, long-term insurance, pension funds, Capital Markets and Capital Markets Instruments, compulsory statutory insurance, risk management and a variety of soft skill issues also constitute the basis of much of the other material developed by the IISA.

The material is readily available, upon request, and has been supplied to a variety of providers covering the broad spectrum of universities in South Africa and in neighbouring countries, colleges, institutions and private industry training facilities, all of which recognise the immense value of relevant, quality material to be utilised for the education, growth and advancement of their staff.
