Ethical MGA Arma Karma partners with Genasys

By: Arma Karma

Genasys Technologies UK has been appointed by ethical MGA, Arma Karma, as its software partner.

Arma Karma, launching this summer, offers renters a more flexible way of only protecting the things that matter to them on a subscription basis akin to Netflix.

Ben Smyth, CEO and founder of Arma Karma, says: “We’re taking a completely different approach and one that we hope will resonate with our target 18-34 year olds who don’t feel that insurers really understand or meet their needs. And we’re also taking a different approach when it comes to our partners. We want to work with people who share a similar philosophy and ambition, and we’re confident that in Genasys, we’ve found our long-term technology partner.

“While we’re committed to using their SKi® platform as the back-end for our first phase of products, the Genasys API will allow us to easily plug into any number of partners as we look to enhance the customer journey, maximise our data enrichment strategy and manage our risk as we grow. This was a really important factor in our decision making process.”

Arma Karma has also committed to donating a quarter of its commission revenue to charity with customers selecting their preference from the business’s rotating eight chosen causes. Arma Karma has a community goal of #ProjectMillion: to raise £1 million for charities over the next three years.

Andre Symes, managing director at Genasys Technologies UK, says: “Our business thrives on these types of opportunities. It’s not only amazing to be appointed to deliver a solution for a brand new offering and help bring it to market, but also to have the chance to work with a young team who are passionate about making a difference.”

The Genasys Software Key to Insurance – SKi® as it’s more widely known – supports all kinds of insurance businesses from insurers and MGAs to brokers and third party administrators, and multiple products across both commercial and personal lines. A pay-as-you-use system, SKi® comprises different modules allowing businesses to pick and choose what they need.
