FPI’s CEO Gets Prominent Leadership Role Within Global Financial Planning Community

Godfrey Nti, Chief Executive Officer at the Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa (FPI), has been appointed as chairperson of Financial Planning Standards Board’s (FPSB) Chief Executives Committee (CEC), effective January 2018.

Nti will work with FPSB’s chief executives from the other 25 FPSB member organisations, and in particular those from the top seven financially contributing member organisations to shape issues and recommendations for consideration by FPSB’s Board of Directors. During his tenure, Nti will supervise the business of the CEC, report regularly on CEC activities to the FPSB Board and FPSB Council.

Nti will also serve ex officio on FPSB’s Member Advisory Group to assess the CEC’s performance and implement actions to improve performance where necessary.

The purpose of the CEC is to establish leadership, efficiency and accountability in the execution of the collective focus interest issues within the FPSB network. It also aims to create a direct link between the Member Chief Executives and the FPSB Board, FPSB Council and Member Advisory Group. The CEC is accountable as a body to the FPSB Board.

On Nti’s appointment Noel Maye, FPSB CEO said “Godfrey has been a valued contributor to FPSB. His experience, insight and collaboration skills make Godfrey the perfect leader to fill this important role.”
