Franklin Templeton wins once again for top performance at Raging Bull awards

<p>Franklin Templeton was presented with three straight performance certificates at the 24<sup>th</sup> annual Raging Bull Awards ceremony in Cape Town earlier this week. The event recognizes outstanding performance by unit trust fund managers in selecting investments for their portfolios, taking into account consistency and aversion to risk.</p>

<p>Franklin Templeton added to its collection of achievements by acquiring the Best (FSCA-Approved) Offshore European Equity General Fund for its <strong>Templeton Eastern Europe Fund, </strong>Best (FSCA-approved) Offshore United States Equity General Fund for its <strong>Franklin US Opportunities Fund</strong>, and Best (FSCA-Approved) Offshore Far East Equity General Fund for its <strong>Templeton China Fund</strong>. These certificates were awarded for Top Performance by a foreign [non-rand-denominated] collective investment scheme for the three-year period ending December 2019.</p>

<p><strong>Templeton Eastern Europe Fund</strong> aims to achieve long-term capital appreciation by investing primarily in listed equity securities of issuers organized under the laws of or having their principal activities within the countries of Eastern Europe, as well as the New Independent States, i.e. the countries in Europe and Asia that were formerly part of or under the influence of the Soviet Union.</p>

<p><strong>Franklin US Opportunities Fund</strong> aims to achieve capital appreciation by investing principally in equity securities of US companies believed to possess sustainable growth characteristics and which meet growth, quality and valuation criteria. These include small, medium, and large capitalization companies with strong growth potential across a wide range of sectors that have exceptional growth potential and fast growing, innovative companies within these sectors.</p>

<p><strong>Templeton China Fund</strong> aims to achieve long-term capital appreciation by investing primarily in equity securities of companies organized under the laws of or having their principal offices in China, Hong Kong or Taiwan, as well as in companies which derive the principal portion of their revenues from goods or services sold or produced, or have the principal portion of their assets in China, Hong Kong or Taiwan.</p>
