Increased reinsurance choice thanks to Aspen Re

At the event of the launch of the commencement of their joint venture in South Africa, the management of Aspen Re and Mearc introduced to the market Emil Issavi (President and Chief Underwriting Officer, Aspen Re), Peter Emblin (Managing Director – Latin America, Middle East & Africa and Head of Casualty, Aspen Re) and Abdallah Balbeisi, (Head Middle East and Africa, Aspen Re). The event took place on the 13th of April, at the Johannesburg Country Club.

Aspen Re are specialists in property, specialty and casualty reinsurance with a dedicated underwriting team that will focus on both proportional and excess of loss treaties, with the local support of Mearc within South Africa. They also offer facultative capacity on an excess of loss basis across property, engineering and energy.
