New Secretary General for the Organisation of Eastern and Southern Africa Insurers

Following the resignation of the current Secretary General, Ms Linet Macharia earlier in the year the Board is pleased to inform our valued members that Ms Rose Wanda, a seasoned insurance professional has been recruited as the incoming Secretary General and CEO of OESAI.

Rose was, until she joined OESAI recently, the Manager in charge of Client Relations and Servicing; Corporate Life at Jubilee Life Insurance Limited. She is also an Executive council member of the Insurance Institute of Kenya (IIK) with a mandate to steer the activities of the institute. She also doubles up as the elected Convener of the  IIK Public relations committee.

Ms. Wanda joined the team effective 22nd March 2021 and has been offered a 5 (Five) year fixed- term contract subject to ratification by members at the next Annual General Meeting.

The OESAI Management Board congratulates Ms Wanda on her appointment and wishes her success in her role as she takes over from Ms Linet Macharia.

The OESAI Board and Secretariat also wishes Linet, the outgoing Secretary General, success and a great journey in the new and exciting job awaiting her.

OESAI looks forward to continuing to work with her in her new role.
