Sharing with, Supporting and Resourcing the Insurance Industry

By: Norton Rose Fulbright

A note from Norton Rose Fulbright

At our Johannesburg conference last month we formally launched the insurance practice's programme for the next 12 months “Sharing with, Supporting and Resourcing the Insurance Industry”.

We are excited to be part of and partner with you in your insurance journey over the next year.

Our commitment to you, our valued clients, is to provide you with responsive, thoughtful, business and solutions orientated service marked by excellence and quality.

Our Big Read Book Series is part of our commitment to resourcing and supporting the insurance industry. Volume 1 and Volume 2 can be read here. If you require hard copies of the volumes please let us know. The next volumes are already in production. If you have topics that you would like us to cover in the series please let us know.

As of 1 November 2019 our national insurance team is now 44 lawyers strong. You can see some of them here. Romany Sutherland and Peter Rogers have joined as Senior Associate and Associate respectively in our Cape Town Insurance Practice. In Johannesburg, Donald Dinnie has returned to the team and is practicing well together with Yash Naidoo, Nikita de Araujo, as Associates and also Celeste Aitken.

We have a number of Associate promotions and external hires in the New Year which will grow the insurance practice to more than 50 lawyers.

Our next event is a panel discussion on the Health Market Inquiry report on 12 November 2019. Please RSVP here.

Please diarise the 29th January 2020 for the presentation “The man who couldn’t die!”

Our “A day in the life…” programme is designed to get to know our clients and their business better. That has been rolled out already with a full programme for the rest of the year and early into the New Year. If you haven’t participated and are not already scheduled to do so and would like to share with our insurance team please let us know.

Yours sincerely,

Craig Woolley, Head of Insurance Litigation

and

David Kapelus, Co-head of Insurance Litigation
