STANLIB’s Victor Mphaphuli named Fixed Income Manager of the year

This is Victor’s third ABSIP award, reflecting his extensive contribution to the industry, having managed bonds and income funds for STANLIB since 2008. Co-head of STANLIB’s Fixed Income team since 2016, Victor assumed sole responsibility for the team earlier this year.

The Fixed Income investment team is one of the largest in South Africa with an impressive investment performance track record, managing over R200 billion in assets under management. The STANLIB Income Fund, a core fund in the range of offerings has delivered top quartile results over 1, 3 and 5 years in its ASISA category.

The Fixed Income Manager award celebrates the individual or team managing a fixed income fund that demonstrates superior performance over the past three years relative to its peers as well as innovation and service excellence, with additional points awarded for proof of commitment to transformation through hiring and training.
