Ghana Reinsurance PLC (Ghana Re) commenced operations in 1972 as the Ghana Reinsurance Organization, and was incorporated as a Limited Liability Company on June 16, 1995.

Ghana Reinsurance Company PLC is the biggest and first Reinsurance Company established in Ghana. It has grown to become one of the largest in Africa and the sub-region, Catering for more than three hundred (300) customers within the African sub region.

Our main corporate headquarters lies in Ghana but we also have branches in Kenya, Morocco and Cameroon, allowing us to give reinsurance assistance to all African countries.
