Kurt Solomon has been appointed chief business officer at Gage Car Hire, a trusted leader in insurance replacement car rentals.

With over 15 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry, Kurt brings a wealth of expertise, an extensive network and a proven track record of driving growth and innovation. In his new role he will focus on expanding Gage Car Hire’s business development initiatives, growing and developing client relationships, enhancing company culture and exploring new ventures.

In addition to his external business development responsibilities, Kurt will also oversee a few internal initiatives, including branding, and company culture. Working closely with CEO Glen Waisbrod and head of operations Belinda Jonker, he will play a pivotal role in positioning Gage as the preferred choice for insurance replacement car rentals.

Kurt’s career has included leadership roles at companies such as Etana, Fulcrum, EasyEquities, CN&CO and Ami Underwriting Managers, where he honed his skills in business development and strategic growth. He also served as vice president of the Insurance Institute of Gauteng (IIG) in 2024, reflecting his deep commitment to the insurance industry.

Based in Cape Town, Kurt will support Gage’s national operations, travelling frequently to Johannesburg, and other regions.
