Large Institutions at the Krutham Top Securities Brokers Awards 2024

In a survey that garnered the responses of over 16 000 clients and brokers within South Africa’s industry-leading brokerage firms, PSG Wealth was named this year’s Top Securities Broker of the Year: Large Institutions at Krutham’s Top Securities Brokers Awards. The firm also dominated the client archetype awards, winning the young investor, lump-sum investor, executive and social investor categories.

Krutham launched the Top Securities Brokers Awards (formerly Top Stockbrokers) in 2010, based on an institutional questionnaire. Soon after, the survey was extended to clients, placing more emphasis on client rankings and sentiment. The annual survey has since become the industry’s most comprehensive public analysis, with the country’s most renowned names in retail brokerage vying for the top positions.

This year, research-led financial consultancy Krutham (formerly known as Intellidex), split the overall award into two categories, one for large institutions (more than 20 000 clients) and one for boutique firms. The survey comprised a questionnaire for brokers and an online survey for clients in which they rank their brokers on a range of questions related to their products and services. This year 16 510 clients participated in the online survey, up from 12 741 last year, bringing a high level of credibility to the findings.

The firm also clinched five out of the six archetype awards taking top honours in the Young Professional,  Successful Entrepreneur,  Wealthy Executive, Lump-sum Investor and Retiree categories.
